The Good
This hotel was enjoyed for its location, well-appointed rooms, movie theatre, beautiful public spaces and grounds, and walk-out balconies with patio sets.

Guests really liked the rooms. They were very clean and spacious with well-appointed kitchens and some had nice views and large patio tables suitable for dining. The quality of the bathrobes, towels and linens also stood out.

Guests liked the central location for being in walking distance of restaurants, shops, the harbour and attractions.

Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Guests often enjoyed quick meals and reasonable prices at the café.

Guests also liked: great pool, having a movie for the kids and also for adults to watch each night in the movie room, great lobby for feeding the Koi and lounging in, marshmallow roasting at the roof garden and lots of hidden patio gardens on the grounds.

The Bad
There was a little negative feedback online in reviews.

Recent room complaints were: no safe, no air conditioning, no HDTV, no telephone in the bedroom for the wake-up call (only in the living room which was inconvenient), lighting too bright-no dimmers, uncomfortable sofabed, thick pillows, only coffee mate in the room along with poor coffee, and washer/dryer unit was complicated to use.

Noise transferred from: traffic on the main street, and guests in the room above and next door.

Some found the coffee shop in the lobby to be small, noisy and lacking in atmosphere and meal choices. No room service was a disappointment for some.

Other comments found were: free bikes needed repair and the parking garage is a maze with lots of dead ends.
