The Good
This hotel was enjoyed for its value, renovated and air-conditioned rooms, quiet but central location, free all day coffee and tea, and pleasant, professional staff.

Rooms were clean, updated and well maintained with comfy beds. Some were spacious and offered pleasant views of the neighbourhood.

Guests loved the quiet but central location. It was an easy walk to attractions, downtown and harbour, close to the parliament buildings and Fairmont Empress, with shops, bus stop, car rental and supermarket close by.

Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. One guest told how they mailed forgotten items.

Many felt the hotel provided good value and wanted to return.

Guests also liked: good all day coffee and tea in the tea room, free cookies, free laundry, mini-toiletries and pleasant nicely landscaped grounds and courtyard.

The Bad
There was very little of a negative nature found online.

Regarding the rooms some guests noted: an uncomfortable sofabed, a small bathroom with little space for toiletries, and AC and kitchen appliances were a little dated (but worked well).

Noise transferred from: the main door opening and closing, and bus traffic from the street.

Other comments found were: parking a little tight for a truck and exterior looked dated.
