The Good
Guests enjoyed their stay and highlighted the Victorian charm, the convenient location, the attentive host and excellent home-made breakfast.

Rooms were clean and quaint with comfy beds. Guests also appreciated having bottled water and chocolate in the room.

Guests liked the quiet location. It was close to the Inner Harbour, restaurants, attractions and downtown.

Staff were warm, friendly and attentive.

Guests enjoyed delicious home-made breakfasts. They mentioned smoked salmon scrambled eggs, omelet, tortellini, cucumber salad, smoked salmon bagels and baked pears.

Guests also liked: small but beautiful flower garden surrounding the driveway, seeing horses and carriage go by, and a relaxing wrap-around porch.

The Bad
Some guests offered negative feedback.

Room complaints found were: bedroom a bit tired in appearance, uncomfortably hard mattress, no temperature control, furniture was dusty, claw foot tub difficult to climb into and out of for a shower, toilet not working properly, dim lighting in bathroom and no counter space.

Noise transferred from: hardwood floors, creaky stairs, squeaky door hinges, plumbing, showers, jetted tubs (guests were asked to use them only within a certain time frame) and street traffic.

Breakfast critiques found: poor/weak coffee, breakfast lacked bread items, offered little choice, was different from the norm, and felt rushed with half-hour seating.

Other comments found: woodwork on the balcony needed some sprucing up, house smelled musty, time limit on jetted tub use, and one guest said they were not able/permitted to shower after 10 pm due to noisy pipes.
