Overview
Located about a 1-minute drive from Highway 97 and a 3-minute drive from Vernon's city centre, the Schell Motel is geared towards road travellers who require a centrally located hotel with extended kitchen amenities, an outdoor pool and easy highway access.
more Each of the hotel's guest rooms offers free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a coffeemaker, a mini-fridge, a desk, a hair dryer and an iron and ironing board. Rooms with a kitchen and one or two separate bedrooms are also available, as are smoking and non-smoking rooms. The hotel is not wheelchair accessible.
The hotel also offers a heated outdoor pool, a hot tub, BBQ facilities, a business centre, vending machines, a free continental breakfast and free parking. Pets are permitted upon request (please contact the hotel for details).

The hotel's location was convenient for many reviewers. They described it as safe and close to a grocery store, downtown Vernon, golfing, highway access, restaurants, the farmers market and shopping.
Numerous guests were pleased with the level of customer service they received and characterized the staff as friendly, accommodating and helpful with directions and suggestions. One patron remarked, "The staff at the Schell can't do enough to help and whatever we needed be it more sugar,coffee etc, or directions they were just excellent".
Several lodgers enjoyed their accommodations at the hotel. They described their rooms as clean, quiet and well equipped, with comfortable beds. A few travellers were disappointed with their lodgings, however (see below).
