The Good
This hotel provided an affordable and satisfying luxury stay for many guests.

It was brilliantly located at the city centre in walking distance of great restaurants, Vancouver's best shopping on Robson Street, the cruise dock, Stanley Park, Gastown, sports and entertainment venues and public transportation.

It offered very clean, quiet and spacious rooms that were elegantly appointed, with comfortable beds and bedding. Many guests enjoyed great views of the city, ocean and mountains.

The professional yet charming staff were the highlight for many a repeat guest. One guest put it like this, "Service was incredible, friendly and high end but not pretentious."

Guests also really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, the happy hour in the lobby bar, first-class dining with accompanying view in the restaurant, the wine shop next door, the little gift shop with coffee, delicious room service, concierge services and the workout facilities.

Many felt this hotel was a good value choice for downtown, especially because of its location.

The Bad
The downside to the hotel was definitely voiced loud and clear: guests did not like paying extra for Wi-Fi, or parking and these extra charges were deemed expensive.

Some guests also found the rooms a little dated with dark colours. One guest described her room as a "tad dour", another said it could do with a little face lift and there was also some mention of bathrooms being somewhat outdated. One repeat guest advised that travellers could ask for a modern room instead of a classic room.

Some guests complained of noise disturbances. They cited the elevator, sirens/traffic from Burrard, AC units and other guests in nearby rooms.
