The Good
Guests enjoyed this hotel with many giving it full marks in reviews.

Rooms were tastefully decorated, well cleaned and had very comfy beds. Some guests had nice large bathrooms and stunning views of the harbour, mountains or city from their rooms.

The location was very central. Guests biked along the waterfront trail to Stanley Park and accessed Gastown, the convention centre, the SkyTrain and downtown shopping with ease.

The staff all offered excellent and courteous service.

Dining on site was well liked. Guests were often very pleased with breakfasts, cocktails at the bar, delicious desserts and other dining.

Adding value were: a heated outdoor pool for swimming in the rain, a great workout facility, very fast Wi-Fi, loner bikes, loner umbrellas and the entertainment at the bar.

The Bad
There was very little negative feedback, but occasionally guests pinpointed a weakness.

Regarding the hotel: one guest thought the lobby was not impressive, another found it noisy in the mornings (although quiet in the evening), a guest complained that his alcoholic drink seemed weak, another found the beer too expensive which was sold poolside, and one guest said the steam room was not impressive for a 5-star hotel and seemed older.

Regarding the rooms: one older guest found the coffeemaker on a shelf that is too low, another guest found the pillows too thick, no mini-fridge in the room, large square rain shower head resulted in less pressure, bathroom seemed older and generic, complimentary toiletries not impressive, difficulty regulating the in-room temperature, and no milk provided for tea drinkers in the room.

Occasionally guests complained of no free Wi-Fi.
