The Sandman Hotel Vancouver City Centre is located within walking distance of various downtown attractions and is ideal for business travellers and tourists wishing to explore Vancouver on foot.

This hotel is 100% smoke free and allows pets for an additional fee of $10 per night. All 302 rooms include individual climate control, coffeemakers with free coffee, free Wi-Fi, televisions with pay-per-view movies, irons and ironing boards, and work desks with ergonomic chairs. On-site underground parking is available for $22 per night plus tax.

Guests have the choice of multiple on-site dining options, including Moxies Grill & M Bar Lounge, Shark Club Sports Bar, and room service. Moxies Grill serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In-room dining is also available.

On-site amenities at this property include banquet and meeting facilities, business centre, fitness centre, indoor pool, and hot tub.

Guests described the staff as unhelpful, disinterested, and inefficient. A couple of reviewers said that the staff did not seem knowledgeable about the downtown area and were unable to provide suitable restaurant recommendations. One reviewer received conflicting and incorrect information about the hotel amenities from different front desk agents and another guest received his wake-up call at the incorrect time.

Several reviewers described their rooms as small, with one guest describing his room as "cramped". One reviewer said that her room was "dingy" and "not up to the acceptable level of Sandman Hotels", while another guest simply described the decor as "tired".

A few guests complained that they were not getting hot water in their bathrooms, while a couple of reviewers found the elevators to be too small and slow. One guest noted that there were long line-ups for the elevator when the hotel was at capacity.
