The Good

The location of this hotel and the service of the staff seemed to be the highlights of many guests' stays, judging from recent reviews read for this report.
Reviewers considered this hotel's location to be perfect. They liked accessing top restaurants on foot, shows, BC Place and Gastown and said that there were shops, food and the waterfront just steps away from the hotel's front door. Some liked being very close to the SkyTrain and others liked having walking and jogging paths close by.
The staff made everything great for guests. They were helpful, fun and attentive to guests needs. They provided a fun and interesting atmosphere and gave great recommendations for dining and entertainment. One guest said they were "amazing and so genuinely helpful, and they were there for every question".
Many guests really liked the rooms. Some found them beautiful, others said they were funky, spacious and clean with comfortable beds. Several guests commented on the quietness of the rooms. Many really loved having a complimentary iPad for use and thought it was a nice touch.
Guests who had breakfast on site were very pleased with the quality and selection.
The Bad
The hotel did have some weak points, which guests spoke of from time-to-time in the reviews.
more Several reviewers mentioned that their rooms were quite small. This comment came from guests who booked suites as well as the cheaper rooms. Some guests objected to parts of the funky decor, such as bathroom walls being all windows to the outside, but most seemed to feel that they were fun and harmless.
Some found the hotel to be overpriced and there was the odd quibble about the price of valet parking being "double" what others in the city were charging.
Occasionally guests complained about the lack of availability of free amenities, such as mountain bikes and the courtesy car to downtown.
Some one-time complaints included: a very small fitness room, the roll-down shades did not keep all the early morning sunlight out of the room and noise transferred to the room from the hallway.
