The Good
Guests were enthusiastic and very happy about their stay.

The rooms were spacious, well appointed and comfortable. Guests found them well cleaned, stylish and quiet and they enjoyed the fireplaces and soaker tubs.

The location was unbeatable, right downtown near shopping and entertainment. Guests walked to the Art Gallery, B.C. Place, Gastown, Robson street shops and Granville street bars.

Staff offered professional, attentive and exceptionally friendly service. Guests said they helped with local information and airport transfer and many felt catered to by the staff.

Café Medina and the breakfast buffet were enjoyed by guests.

Guests often conveyed that the hotel was good value. Adding value for some were: the valet and porter service and local transportation to restaurants and attractions.

The Bad
Guests had mostly positive things to say but there was the odd criticism.

Some guests said the pool was a little small and the pool area lacked enough lounge chairs.

A few guests felt that breakfast at the hotel was overpriced and on occasion found the food not heated enough.

Occasionally guests complained about the cost, finding that after taxes and gratuities the price of the stay added up considerably. Some felt that breakfast and parking should have been included in the rate.

Occasionally, guests felt the room service let the hotel down, bringing up subpar offerings, but this complaint appeared rarely in the reviews.
