The Good
This hotel was well liked by many of its guests.

Guests liked the location. It was considered safe, with good ethnic eateries nearby. The SkyTrain stop on Cambie Street made accessing downtown quick and easy. Guests also walked or took the Aqua bus to Granville Island and accessed the hospital nearby.

The staff were deemed pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful.

The restaurant and breakfast buffet were well liked serving good food.

The Bad
Although guests seemed quite pleased overall, there was on occasion some dissatisfaction voiced by reviewers.

There were some guests who said they were not able to obtain the hotel’s assistance in sorting out either booking errors made with third party booking sites or a late cancellation of the hotel room due to the cancellation of an appointment imposed by the nearby hospital.

Occasionally guests complained about having to pay a large deposit and for long waits for the deposit to be credited back to their credit card.

The building is older and some guests felt the hotel was still somewhat dated. Occasionally guests complained of stained carpet, unappealing balconies or dated common areas in need of refurbishment.

Other complaints found were: slow elevators, no hot tub, no in-room safe, and unfurnished balconies.

Some felt misled about the hotel’s location due to the name of the hotel and found it far from downtown.

Although some found good value, others felt the hotel was overpriced.
