Overview

Located across the street from Okanagan Beach and about a 3-minute drive from Penticton's city centre, Crown Resort Motel is suitable for travellers who require a centrally located hotel with extended kitchen amenities, an outdoor pool and easy highway access.

Each of the hotel's air-conditioned guest rooms comes equipped with free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a balcony or patio, a coffeemaker and a mini-fridge. Rooms with a separate bedroom, a full kitchen, a living area with a sofabed and a dining area are also available, as are smoking and non-smoking rooms. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are not available, however.

Hotel amenities include an outdoor saltwater pool, BBQ facilities, ski storage, a business centre and free parking. Pets under 25 lbs may be permitted upon request (please contact the hotel for details).

Locolanding Adventure Park is about a 4-minute walk from the hotel, while Cleo Cherry Lane Shopping Centre can be found 10 minutes away by car. The Good

The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with praise going to the hotel's location, staff and rooms.

Numerous guests praised the hotel's location, finding it close to the beach, Locolanding Amusement Park, restaurants, nightlife and shopping. One patron remarked, "The location was excellent, it is in the heart of the strip where all the action is and right across the street from the beach!".

The hotel's staff were the source of many compliments by reviewers. They were characterized as friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Several lodgers were satisfied with their accommodations at the hotel. They described their rooms as clean, quiet, spacious and well equipped, with great views of Lake Okanagan and comfortable beds. Some travellers criticized their lodgings, however (see below).

The Bad

While the majority of reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were a few complaints about the rooms.

Although several guests were satisfied with their spacious and comfortable rooms, some lodgers were disappointed with their accommodations. They reported dated decor, worn fixtures, a lack of toiletries, kitchen utensils and in-room hair dryers, cleaning issues, noisy air conditioners and noise from guests in adjacent rooms.
