Located next to Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park and about a 1-minute drive from Island Highway, Beach Acres Resort is geared towards travellers who prefer self-contained cottages or townhouses with extended kitchen amenities and easy access to the beach and highway.

The hotel's location was praised by numerous reviewers. They described it as peaceful and relaxing, as well as close to the beach, Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park, grocery stores, mini-golf, bird watching and Mt. Washington. A few patrons did mention the walk to the beach was a few minutes long down a steep hill, however.
Many lodgers were pleased with their accommodations at the hotel. They described their units as quiet, clean, spacious, well equipped and modern, with beautiful ocean views and comfortable beds. A few guests had complaints about their accommodations, however (see below).
