Overview

About the hotel: This hotel features views and a private beach on Lake Osoyoos and is located just off Highway 3, a 16-minute stroll (or 4-minute drive) to the town centre. This hotel also provides an indoor pool with waterslide, a free breakfast and kitchenettes, making it a convenient get-a-way for families on vacation who are looking to save on dining out costs.

The smoke-free hotel has 60 rooms on 4 floors, most with elevator access and 6 rooms above the office, on second floor that require stair access.

All rooms include free Wi-Fi, free local calls, a flat screen TV with cable, a coffeemaker with Starbucks coffee/tea, a mini-fridge, a work desk, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer and climate control.

Some rooms include a sofabed, 1 or 2 separate bedrooms, 2 TVs, a living room, a full kitchen, windows that open, and a balcony. Accessible rooms are available.

Rooms are furnished with 1 or 2 queen beds, 1 queen + 1 twin, or 1 king bed.

Free parking is available on site.

Pets are welcome (2) for $10 per pet, per night.

The Good

Guests typically enjoyed their stay.

Rooms were clean, with comfortable beds and amazing views of the lake (from both sides). Guests liked to enjoy meals on the deck and take in what one guest called "a million-dollar view".

The staff were well liked--efficient, thoughtful and caring.

The location was central within walking distance of most of the town and near to good restaurants.

Many guests liked having beach access and a few reviewers, who were travelling with children, mentioned that the lake was warm, shallow and safe.

The indoor pool, waterslide and hot tub were greatly enjoyed, especially by the children of younger families. The pool and waterslide had the ability to save the trip, if the weather was not great outside.

Free breakfast was appreciated by many guests, although some guests found it too basic.

The Bad

Some guests gave negative feedback.

Recent room complaints found: room was very small and cramped, it was difficult to access the washroom if the sofabed was pulled out, no floor space for luggage, no counter space in the bathroom, room was dated and patio overlooked the parking lot.

Some guests were very disturbed by noise. They mentioned rooms next to the elevator, traffic sounds, guests on the beach and guests in neighbouring rooms and hallways.

Other comments found were: rooms were on the pricey side during peak season and parking could be limited during full occupancy.
