Many guests enjoyed this hotel and found it to provide good value in a pleasant location.
Guests really liked the views from their rooms. They described seeing tugboats, logging activities and beautiful sunsets. Some of the rooms' balconies stretched out over the river below giving the sense of being on a boat.
Guests loved the riverside location. They enjoyed accessing the River Market with its shops, groceries and restaurants and the waterfront boardwalk which offered 2 kilometres of parks, scenery and places to sit riverside. Some guests liked using this location to access nearby districts and even downtown Vancouver by SkyTrain. Others mentioned good shopping and restaurants in the area and accessing the Justice Institute.
Many found the rooms and beds comfortable, enjoyed their balconies and found the bathrooms well-equipped and clean.
Several guests were well pleased with the dining on site, describing the food as amazing, tasty, outstanding and excellent.
The staff received high scores overall and many guests described them as friendly.
Negative comments were in the minority and focused on noise disturbances and the extra charge for parking fees.
Some guests were not aware of the extra charge for parking and although it was only $13 per night, they were disappointed.
A few guests complained of hearing the neighbours through the walls or connecting doors and being disturbed by the sound of trains on the nearby train track, their horns, and music from a nearby pub.
Occasionally guests felt the rooms were a little dated and a few guests complained of AC units or heaters that did not work properly.
