Overview
Chancellor Peak Chalets is located on the edge of Yoho National Park, a 5-minute drive from the nearest Trans-Canada Highway interchange and about 30 minutes from downtown Golden. Each chalet offers a full kitchen and sleeps up to six adults. These features may appeal to those wanting to stay in a rural area with the option of self-catering and group accommodations.

Chancellor Peak Chalets offers 11 detached cabins, all of which are non-smoking. Each cabin features a master bedroom with queen bed, a loft with a queen bed and two twin beds, two bathrooms, a soaker tub, a full kitchen, a living room with gas fireplace, a covered deck and a BBQ. Free Wi-Fi is available in every cabin. Chalets do not have a phone and there is no cell reception in the area. Dogs may be allowed in certain cabins for an additional $30 each per night but this must be confirmed directly with the manager before booking.

Free parking is available to all guests.

There is plenty of outdoor recreation nearby, including hiking and fishing in the nearby area and Hydra River Guides rafting and adventure tours is about a 2-minute walk away. Several restaurants, shops and Golden and District Museum can be found in downtown Golden, about a half an hour drive away. Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is about an hour's drive from the chalets. Calgary International Airport (YYC) can be reached in about 2 hours and 45 minutes by car. (All distances and travel time estimates: Google Maps)

Reviews used for this analysis were very limited with one negative point focused on the distance from Golden.

Although some guests enjoyed the secluded location of the chalets and commented that there were plenty of recreational opportunities nearby, a couple did note that it was a fair drive (30 minutes) to Golden and its shops, restaurants and grocery stores. Guests suggested that it was best to come prepared with adequate food and supplies prior to arrival.
