Overview

Located on Wood Lake and about a 2-minute drive from Highway 97, Kokanee Beach Resort is geared towards road travellers who prefer a hotel with extended kitchen amenities, free Wi-Fi and easy beach and highway access.

Each of the hotel's one- and two-bedroom guest rooms comes equipped with free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a full kitchen, a dining area, a living room with a sofabed and an en suite bathroom. The hotel is not wheelchair accessible.

Hotel amenities include a private beach area, a children's playground, BBQ facilities, guest laundry and free parking. Tent and RV camping are also offered. Pets are not permitted.

Marketplace IGA can be found 5 minutes away by car, while Aspen Grove Golf Club is about a 4-minute drive away. Kelowna's city centre is roughly a 29-minute drive from the hotel and Kelowna International Airport (YLW) is an 18-minute drive away. (All distances and travel time estimates: Google Maps)

The hotel's rooms were criticized by several reviewers. They reported cleaning issues, worn fixtures and furnishings, a lack of toiletries and kitchen utensils, rusty bathrooms, uncomfortable beds and cigarette odours in non-smoking rooms.

Some lodgers complained about the hotel's rates, finding them overpriced given the state of their accommodations.
