Overview

This property is located amidst a commercial and big box shopping area in East Kelowna and is a 2-minute drive from the Orchard Park Mall (largest shopping centre in the Okanagan region). This hotel is not only ideal for travellers who enjoy shopping, but for guests looking for ample on-site recreational facilities. This property offers an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a hot tub, a sauna, a fitness centre, a games room, volleyball and basketball courts, and a putting green.

This property offers rooms, suites, and a private holiday house. All units include a coffeemaker, a TV, free Wi-Fi, free local calls, a sofa bed, private patio, a bar fridge, and a king or queen sized bed. Standard rooms accommodate up to 3 people. One and two-bedroom suites are configured with king or queen-sized beds, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private patio. Suites accommodate up to 6 people.

The private holiday house is a 2-storey house and has 3 bedrooms (each with a TV), a living room with a 42" flat-screen TV, a 5-piece bathroom (2 sinks, a shower, a tub, and a toilet), a BBQ, and free Wi-Fi. The private holiday house accommodates up to 8 people.

Free parking is available on site and pets are permitted for an additional fee of $10 per night.

A free continental breakfast is served daily from 6:30 am - 10:30 am. Coin-operated laundry machines and business services (fax, photocopying, and courier services) are available for an additional fee.

The Good

Among the reviews used for this analysis, positive reviews were slightly outnumbered by negative reviews. However, there were several common compliments for this property.

Many guests found the outdoor and indoor pools, hot tubs, sports courts, and games room to be value-added features, especially guests who were travelling with children. Several reviewers also mentioned making use of the courtyard BBQ area. A couple of guests thought that this hotel offered good value for the money they spent.

The staff were frequently complimented for their friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable service.

Guests described dated and stained furniture and bed skirts, dim lights, a broken toilet seat, and broken patio doors that would not lock securely. One reviewer also noted that the on-site fitness centre contained broken machines. One guest described this hotel as "dumpy and dark", while another reviewer said that this property was "reminiscent of an old motel".

Many guests discovered unpleasant odours in their rooms. A few reviewers thought that the odour was cigarette smoke, while a few other guests described "mouldy and mildewy" smells.
