Overview

Located on Okanagan Lake and about a 2-minute drive from Highway 97 in Kelowna's city centre, Delta Grand Okanagan Lakefront Resort is suitable for business or vacation travellers who prefer a resort-style hotel with on-site dining, a casino, meeting/banquet space and easy highway access.

Each of this smoke-free hotel's guest rooms comes equipped with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi or wired internet, cable TV, a coffeemaker, a mini-fridge, an iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. Microwaves are available free upon request. Rooms with a kitchenette, a jetted tub, a fireplace and a sitting area with a sofabed are also available, as are wheelchair-accessible rooms. Pets are permitted in some rooms for $35 per pet, per stay.

Hotel amenities include indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, a sauna, a fitness centre, a spa and wellness centre, a casino, meeting/banquet space, a 24-hour business centre, a liquor store, a coffee shop, a lounge, a seasonal pool bar and on-site dining at Grand Bay Cafe, which serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and room service daily. Self-parking is $18 per day, while valet-parking is $22 per day.

Safeway is about a 2-minute drive away, while Kelowna Art Gallery is a 1-minute walk from the hotel. Rotary Centre for the Arts is roughly 2 minutes away on foot and Kelowna International Airport (YLW) is an 18-minute drive away. (All travel time estimates: Google Maps)

The Good

The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with much praise going to the hotel's staff, location and rooms.

Many guests praised the hotel's staff, characterizing them as friendly, professional, attentive and helpful with suggestions and recommendations. One patron remarked, "The real stand our for me was the service. From the valet, check in, bellman, the service was top notch. I felt like I was at a Four Seasons or a Fairmont. Delta has really upped it's game!".

The hotel's location was convenient for numerous lodgers. They found it close to Okanagan Lake, downtown Kelowna, restaurants, shopping, Bernard St. and theatres.

Several reviewers were pleased with their accommodations at the hotel. They described their rooms as spacious, clean, bright, well equipped and modern, with comfortable beds and great mountain and lake views. A few guests had complaints about their lodgings, however (see below).
