The Good
Guests who were looking for a quick budget stay, typically enjoyed their stays at this hotel. The hotel is older and offers clean, but dated rooms with very personable staff who provide a pleasant atmosphere.
more The Internet is decent, the value is good, the TVs are flat and the beds are comfy. All rooms have some type of kitchen facility, from a mini-fridge in all rooms, a microwave in most, to a full kitchen in many of the rooms.
Guests came to the hotel to sleep and it delivered well on that end with clean and comfortable beds in a quiet location. Denny's was on site and provided a meal, take-out, dine-in, tea and room service, all very pleasing and convenient to the hotel guests.
The location was close to downtown, entertainment venues, many good restaurants in walking distance, and close to the hospital for guests visiting there.
All in all, it was a good and affordable place for a short stay.
The Bad
Guests who complained and provided lower than average scores were in the minority, judging from the reviews that were posted online.
more Although the facility is basic and older, it has seen renovations and upgrades, but it was just too dated and unappealing for some guests, who then became focused on what the hotel lacked: no fitness room, no free breakfast, no hot tub and no elevator (with 3 storeys) in the main section of the hotel.
Occasionally guests complained of stale smoke or musty smells, noisy or ineffective AC units, and small rooms with awkwardly configured and tiny bathrooms. A few guests felt the rooms could have been cleaner.
