Located on Kamloops' north shore just west of the Thompson River, the Holiday Inn Suites Kamloops is popular with business travellers visiting the surrounding area's resource processing companies and with those who require extended-stay amenities such as kitchenettes. It is situated roughly 5 km from Kamloops' city centre.
This non-smoking hotel has 89 rooms and suites on 3 floors, each of which offers satellite TV, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a coffeemaker, a hair dryer, an iron/ironing board, a mini-fridge, a microwave, glassware and cutlery, and a desk.

Several guests were complimentary towards all divisions of the hotel's staff. The front-desk service, cleaning staff and restaurant/lounge staff were all characterized as very friendly and helpful.
Many reviewers were pleased with their rooms at the Holiday Inn Suites. They were described as "extremely clean", with comfortable beds and spacious layouts, and the included microwaves and refrigerators were touted as useful, as well.
The hotel's amenities were positively mentioned by some lodgers, who enjoyed the relaxation of the indoor pool and spa tub, as well as the convenience of the 24-hour business centre. One patron did mention however that they felt the fitness room was under-equipped because it lacked weights.

Overall, there were very few negative reviews found for this analysis, but among the complaints were mentions of the hotel's location, ease of access, and sound-proofing.
Several reviewers were concerned with the hotel's location within the city of Kamloops, and described the neighbourhood as "dodgy" and "sketchy", mentioning it would not be a nice location for a family to walk around after dark.
Accessing and finding the hotel was a problem for some guests. These guests mentioned there was no left turn when driving north from the downtown area, or that they got the location confused with the Holiday Inn Express located on the south side of Kamloops.
A few lodgers had complaints regarding noise transfer in this hotel. These guests described disturbances by loud children (in town for tournaments) in the hallways upstairs.
