Overview
Located just off Sunshine Coast Highway, and about a 4-minute drive from Secret Cove Marina, Secret Cove Cottage Suites are suitable for car or boat travellers who prefer scenic, self-contained accommodations with extended kitchen amenities and easy highway access.
more Each of the cottage's smoke-free suites comes equipped with a separate entrance, free Wi-Fi, a coffeemaker, a kitchenette, a seating area, a private bathroom and a private deck with a BBQ. The property is not wheelchair accessible.
Pets are permitted upon request and charges may be applicable (pleased contact the hotel for details). Free parking is also offered.
Halfmoon Bay General Store is about a 6-minute drive from the hotel, while Smuggler Cove Marine Provincial Park can be found 10 minutes away. Pender Harbour Golf Club is roughly a 21-minute drive away, and Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is a 2-hour and 45-minute drive from the hotel. The Good
The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with much praise going to the hotel's staff, rooms and location.
Many lodgers were pleased with the level of customer service they received, characterizing the staff as friendly and helpful. One patron noted, "Owner/Landlady Noel was very friendly, hospitable, helpful about local real estate (our travel focus)".
The hotel's rooms were complimented by numerous guests. They described their accommodations as spacious, clean, quiet, well equipped and well maintained, with comfortable beds. A few travellers had complaints about their lodgings, however (see below).

They reported no in-room TVs or cell phone coverage, as well as no curtains or window coverings. However, it should be noted that there is free Wi-Fi, which will enable some cell phones to be usable.
While several lodgers enjoyed the hotel's relaxing locale and proximity to Secret Cove Marina, one traveller commented that restaurants and grocery shopping were not close to the hotel.
