Overview
Super 8 Fort Nelson is located just off the Alaska Highway. The hotel offers well-equipped rooms, an indoor pool with waterslide and a hot tub, which makes it a good choice for those travelling the highway and wanting to stay the night at a hotel with comfortable rooms and recreation facilities. Those travelling with pets find this an ideal place to stay because first floor rooms have patio doors that allow for quick exits outdoors.
This hotel offers 142 rooms, both smoking and non-smoking, over four floors. Standard room features include free Wi-Fi, free local calls, cable TV with pay-per-view movies, a mini-kitchen (coffeemaker, mini-fridge, microwave, sink with counter) a desk, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer and air conditioning. Rooms come with king beds or queen beds and may include a sofabed.

The majority of reviews read for this report were positive and focused on the rooms, the staff, the pool and the location.
Many guests said the rooms were spacious and quiet with comfortable beds. Overall, guests thought that the hotel wasn't high-end but that it offered decent, well-maintained rooms.
The staff received compliments from many guests for being friendly and accommodating. Those travelling in the rain by motorcycle were pleased with the care the staff took to hang up wet gear and provide extra towels.
Many guests enjoyed the pool area and those travelling with kids particularly appreciated the waterslide.

The Bad
Although the majority of reviews used for this analysis were positive, a few negative comments focused on room prices, maintenance issues and noise disturbance.
more Guests complained about a variety of maintenance issues which touched on things that needed replacing (bathroom tiles) and things that needed to be fixed (ice machine, coffee machine, bathroom drains, potholes in the parking lot). Some gets just said the hotel showed wear and tear.
Occasionally a guest was disturbed by hearing noisy neighbours. Some complained about areas of the hotel they thought should be cleaner such as carpets in entryways and the pool and hot tub.
There were some booking problems and staff was curt who handled these issues.
Finally, a few guests complained about the prices and said they were too high.
