The Good
The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with praise going to the hotel's location, staff and rooms.
The hotel's location was convenient for many reviewers. They described it as easily accessible and central, as well as close to highway access, shopping, restaurants, a grocery store, Starbucks and the town of Nelson.
Numerous guests praised the hotel's staff, characterizing them as friendly, attentive, accommodating and helpful with directions. One patron remarked, "The staff was very accommodating. When we asked for another pillow, they were able to find one quite quickly for us. There was someone at the front desk 24 hours a day, which puts you at ease as well".
Several lodgers were pleased with the hotel's accommodations. They described their rooms as clean, quiet, well equipped, spacious and updated, with comfortable beds and linens. A few travellers had complaints about their lodgings, however (see below).
The Bad
While the majority of reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were a few complaints about the rooms and pool facilities.
Although the majority of reviewers were pleased with their clean and well-equipped rooms, a few guests criticized their accommodations. They reported old TVs, dated decor and fixtures and noise transfer from the highway and guests in adjacent rooms.
A few lodgers were disappointed with the location of the hotel's swimming pool and hot tub. They were under the impression they were located on the premises, but are in fact at the hotel's sister property across the road (as noted in the overview above).
