Overview
This hotel is situated on the Big White ski resort and is well suited for guests who prefer ski-in/ski-out accommodations. This property is located at the top of Lara's Gondola and is a 3-minute walk to the Bullet Express Gondola.
more This property is 100% smoke-free and all rooms include free Wi-Fi, a mini-fridge, a coffeemaker, a microwave, cookware and dinnerware, a fireplace, a hair dryer, a TV, blackout curtains and individual climate control. Rooms are configured with separate bedroom, kitchen and living room areas. Bedrooms are furnished with one queen bed and living rooms include a murphy bed and/or a sofabed.
Free underground parking is available on site and pets are not permitted. Housekeeping services are provided every three to five days (depending on the length of stay).
The on-site Carvers Bar and Grill serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also an on-site piano bar and room service is available.
Other on-site amenities include ski storage, guest laundry facilities, currency exchange, a 24-hour front desk, free newspapers, a fitness centre, an outdoor pool, a hot tub and safe deposit boxes.
The base of the Big White ski resort is a 3-minute drive away and features restaurants. Access to Highway 33 is 28 minutes away by car, while Kelowna is about a 50-minute drive away. Kelowna features the Black Mountain Golf Club, the Orchard Plaza Shopping Centre, the Lake City Casino and Prospera Place (arena and concert venue). The Good
There were only a couple of recent reviews available for this analysis, however, among those reviews both guests agreed that the staff were friendly. One reviewer said that the front desk agents "couldn't be more accommodating".
One guest enjoyed the outdoor pool and hot tub, while the other reviewer specifically appreciated the ski-in/ski-out access.
Guests may also want to note that this property provides free Wi-Fi and free underground parking.
The Bad
As mentioned above, there were only two recent reviews available for this analysis, at the time this editorial was written. Among those reviews there were no guest complaints or concerns. However, unlike other properties at Big White, some guests may be disappointed that the rooms are not equipped with a full kitchen.
