Numerous guests praised the hotel's staff, characterizing them as friendly, accommodating and helpful. One patron remarked, "From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff. After injuring my knee, the staff,(Laura, Louise and Johnny) were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to help arrange transport to get first aid from ski patrol as well as arranging ice packs etc.".
The hotel's location was enjoyed by many lodgers, who found it close to skiing, restaurants, pubs, the gondola and a grocery store. One guest noted, "We found the location of Chateau Big White to be very central and one of the most convenient places for ski-in, ski-out".

The Bad
As noted above, there were a limited number of guest reviews available to be sourced at the time of writing this editorial. While the majority of reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were a few complaints about the rooms and noise transfer.
Although the majority of reviewers were pleased with their clean and well-equipped rooms, a few guests had complaints about their accommodations. They reported small-sized rooms, spotty Wi-Fi and dated decor.
A couple of lodgers complained about noise transfer from people leaving nearby bars late at night. One patron noted, "Even though our room overlooked the street facing downhill, it was probably quieter than the rooms facing uphill overlooking the ski mountain and subject to the noise of people coming and going from restaurants, bars, and stores. Higher is probably quieter, too".
