The Good
Guests who reviewed this hotel recently really enjoyed their stays. They seemed to be very appreciative of the beautiful surroundings and the access they had to such a peaceful setting, hiking and snoeshoeing trails. Many planned to return for yet another stay.

The rooms seemed to fit the expectations of the guests for cleanliness and comfort. Some were pleased with the mini-fridges and microwaves which gave them some in-room dining opportunities, others mentioned the jacuzzis, the fireplaces and the balconies with scenic views as adding value to the stay.

Guests described the front desk agents as friendly, accommodating and quick to provide activity and restaurant recommendations.

Guests liked the location, the scenery, the nearness to the town, the wildlife sightings especially in the hotel's courtyard and the ability to be close to nature, hiking and snowshoeing.

The Bad
Even though this hotel was a 'slice of heaven' as some put it, there were some complaints from guests at times. Most of these were not really shared by other guests though, as they seemed to result from isolated circumstances. However, that said, there were a couple of common issues for the guests of this hotel.

One was that the restaurant on site during the winter season was a little small and had expensive prices. Another issue was that the deep fryer did not have a properly working exhaust fan as the smell of grease lingered on one's clothes and burned the eyes.

Some guests missed having more to do in the town in the winter months as many restaurants and hotels closed down during the off season. A few guests found the jacuzzis to be quite loud and the satellite TV reception to be quite poor with limited channels. Some wished for more TVs in the larger suites.
