Overview

This hotel has conference facilities and banquet seating for up to 300 people. It is well suited for guests who require conference or event facilities on site.

All of the 74 rooms at this hotel have free Wi-Fi and a coffeemaker. A hair dryer, a microwave, a mini-fridge and an iron and ironing board are available on request. Rooms are furnished with either one or two queen beds. Suites have separate living and sleeping areas and may include a kitchenette (stove top, microwave, mini-fridge, cookware, dinnerware).

Pets are permitted for $20 per night. Smoking and non-smoking guest rooms are available. There is no elevator to the second floor.

Guests can dine on site at Seasons Cafe & Eatery for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also a pub for guests who want a drink or light fare. On-site amenities include free parking, a hot tub, a sauna and a games room.

Both the Taber Irrigation Impact Museum, with exhibits on irrigation as it figures into Taber's development, and the Aquafun Centre are within a 5-minute walk away. Both the Taber Golf Club and the Taber and District Health Care Complex are just under a 5-minute drive away. Access to the Canada/U.S. border is about a 65-minute drive away. The Good

Based on the reviews used for this analysis, guests had a number of criticisms about this hotel. However, there were a few points of praise, most notably about customer service.

Guests commented frequently on staff who aimed to please. Staff were noted as being generous, attentive and determined to deliver sensitive, personalized service.

A number of guests praised the menu selection, quality of food and service offered in the on-site restaurants.

There was a sense from a number of guests that there was good value received for the price paid. A number of guests commented favourably on the room rate.

Some guests said that their rooms were clean and comfortable. However, there were numerous complaints about rooms (see below).

The Bad

Based on the reviews used for this analysis, there were more negative than positive comments made about this hotel. Guests complained most often about noise and about aging decor.

A number of guests complained about thin walls and were disturbed by noise coming from the hallways. Guests complained about noise from other guests and about loud ice machines. Guests said that they could hear conversations and TV noise from guests in adjacent rooms. One guest suggested bringing earplugs.

Many guests felt that this hotel was showing its age and that updates were required. Guests commented specifically on linens, broken shower items, bathroom sinks and furniture specifically.

A few guests had issues regulating the temperature in their rooms and said that their rooms were uncomfortably warm or too cold.

A few guests said that their rooms were dark. They suggested that the rooms needed more lamps and better distribution of electrical plugs around the room to help light all areas.

While many guests appreciated that the rooms were clean, a number of guests thought that the rooms were very small.

A couple of guests who needed wheelchair accessibility said that this hotel presented some problems.
