The Bad
Most of the reviews used for this analysis were not favourable, and guests were particularly unhappy with the lack of detailed cleaning and the overall appearance of the hotel.

Guests seemed to think that both the common areas and the rooms at this hotel were dirty, and several went into detail describing specific items and the level of uncleanliness with them. Guests wrote about yellowed lampshades, stains on tables, stained entrance mats and carpets and leftover soap and shampoo in the bathrooms, among many more.

Guests also said that the exterior of the hotel was poorly maintained, with weeds, cigarette butts and garbage around the entrance. Many guests said that this hotel was aging and in need of major renovations. Guests wrote about uneven floors, doors off hinges, missing sink faucets in the bathroom and showers that run hot water only, among others.

A number of guests complained about lingering odours of cigarette smoke in their rooms and said that the smell had permeated the linens, the beds and the pillows. A number of guests complained about odours apparently from other sources (a few described the odour as musty, while another described it as skunk-like).

A number of guests had problems working their TVs and complained about the picture and the reception.

There were some additional complaints about noise from air conditioning units and neighbours.
