The Good
This hotel was well liked by many reviewing guests online, judging from the reviews read recently for this editorial. They were very pleased with the comfort of the beds, the cleanliness of the rooms and the ongoing renovations to the hotel.
Many guests found the room rates reasonable and felt that the hotel, although older, was well kept and provided for a comfortable stay. Guests mentioned good showers, great Wi-Fi signals, and a well kept pool, sauna and hot tub area.
Guests typically enjoyed the food and selection at the free breakfast and one reviewer described the selection as including muffins, bagels, toast, scrambled eggs, fruit and cereal.
The front desk agents were described as friendly and accommodating by many guests. Guests really seemed to connect to the owners and said they were welcoming and attentive to guests' needs.
Guests who spoke about the location mentioned that it had easy highway access, was quiet and situated in a residential area allowing for an evening stroll. Others liked that it was close to restaurants, hospital and a short drive to a major shopping district.
The Bad
Although most of the reviews read for this report were positive, there was the odd complaint from guests who felt the hotel was still in need of more refurbishment.
more Although many reviewers said the hotel and rooms were very clean, sometimes a guest would mention that the exterior of the hotel looked rather old, or they found furniture that was stained, or bathroom tiles that were mouldy. A couple of guests were bothered by older windows that they said were dusty, small and had condensation. One guest pointed to the need for a new carpet in their room, although they said the room was large and clean.
Occasionally a guest felt the breakfast was too basic or offered stale baked goods.
