Overview

This property is situated in downtown Grande Prairie and is located a 3-minute walk from the Crystal Centre (sports arena and concert venue). This hotel is well suited for guests who prefer to explore the downtown area on foot or for business guests looking to access nearby offices.

Both smoking and non-smoking accommodations are available. All rooms include free Wi-Fi, individual climate control, a coffeemaker, an iron and ironing board and a TV with pay-per-view movies. Rooms are furnished with either two double beds or one queen bed. Suites at this property also include a separate sitting area with a sofabed. Select suites also include a kitchenette (mini-fridge, microwave, sink and dishware). Suites are furnished with one king bed or one queen bed.

Free parking is available on site and pets are permitted for an additional fee of $10 per night.

There are multiple on-site dining options, including Denny's 24 Hour Restaurant (breakfast, lunch and dinner), Shark Club Sports Bar & Grill and Bar One Urban Lounge. Room service is also available.

This hotel received high scores for its location. In the heart of Grande Prairie, it was situated close to other businesses and restaurants with lots of amenities within walking distance.

Many guests said their beds were comfy, and their rooms were clean and spacious, although a couple of guests discovered imperfectly cleaned bathrooms.

Many reviewers were pleased with the staff and service and said they were friendly and professional, however some guests complained of unfriendly treatment and failures to properly serve the guests.

The Bad

Many guests were disturbed by noise from inside and outside the hotel. Reviewers described noise from patrons leaving nearby bars, whistles from trains passing near the hotel and from noisy guests in the hallways.

The in-room climate control was ineffective and noisy according to a handful of guests.

There were mixed reviews about the decor: some guests said that their rooms were updated and modern while some said that their rooms were dated.

Denny's Restaurant and the on-site pub received mixed reviews from guests. One guest complained that it was sometimes too busy, with long waits for food and that they ran out of menu items.

A couple of reviewers complained about either a lack of parking spaces (due to Denny's & Earls patrons) or tight parking spaces on site (due to the abundance of trucks in the lot).
