Ramada by Wyndham Clairmont Grande Prairie

Although the hotel is located on the outskirts of town, about a 15-minute drive to the core, guests appreciated its proximity to Highway 43 which runs through Grande Prairie. Some guests liked avoiding downtown traffic and considered the hotel convenient to the mall as well.

Guests typically liked the rooms and considered them to be clean, quiet and comfortable. Guests mentioned having well-furnished rooms that were tastefully decorated, with new flat screen TVs. Some said they had the best sleep here with very comfy beds.

Staff were another high point of the hotel; guests called them top notch, accommodating and upbeat, and said they had a great attitude and went the extra mile.

A few guests considered the hotel to offer good value and a large contingent wrote of things which provided added value to the stay, such as an on-site restaurant that had good food and a really good free breakfast, a nearby gas bar, a convenience store attached to the hotel, free coffee and fresh fruit in the lobby, a well-equipped fitness room, smoking rooms, free airport shuttle service and a weekly guest appreciation night with free pizza, beer and pop.

There were a couple of common points among guest complaints in the reviews read for this editorial which included a poor Wi-Fi signal and noise disturbances.

Spotty and slow Wi-Fi was reported by several guests who said they couldn't work during their stay. The manager said that the hotel would be getting better Wi-Fi in the near future.

Although some guests considered their rooms to be quiet, several guests said they were disturbed either by loud train whistles, or trucks that idled all night in the cold months. The remedy offered by the manager of the hotel was to book a room at the front of the hotel.
