Overview

Located on the Yellowhead Highway, 5 minutes' drive from Edson's town centre and 3 minutes from the Edson Airport, the Comfort Inn and Suites Edson is geared towards travellers who require an economical hotel close to highway access or Edson Airport.

This hotel has 40 air-conditioned guest rooms, all of which offer one king or two queen beds, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a coffeemaker, a desk, a hair dryer, and an iron and ironing board. Microwaves and mini-fridges are available upon request. The hotel offers a business centre, a fitness room, and free parking. Pets are not permitted, and the hotel is not wheelchair accessible.

A complimentary continental breakfast is offered daily to all guests, while other nearby restaurants include Castle Restaurant (a 4-minute walk northeast) and Zorba's Pizza and Pub (6 minutes away on foot).

The Good

The majority of reviews consulted for this analysis were positive with much praise going to the hotel's staff, value, and rooms.

Most reviewers offered praise to the hotel's staff and customer service. These reviewers reported friendly service, efficient and attentive staff who were "always ready to help", and mentioned the check-in process was easy.

Several guests felt the hotel was a good value. They were impressed with the included breakfast which offered a good selection of hot and cold items, and mentioned, "This hotel is the best in Edson, the prices are very good for the rooms you get". Another guest remarked, "This hotel was a good choice in terms of rates".

Many lodgers praised their accommodations. They described their rooms as clean and spacious, with comfortable beds and pillows.

The Bad

While most of the reviews consulted for this analysis were positive there were a couple of common complaints among them, which included noise transfer and room odours.

Some guests reported disturbances from noise during their stay. They described hearing truck noise from the highway, a loud hum from the in-room fridge, noise from guests outside, and loud air conditioning units. It should be mentioned however, that most guests, of those that commented on room noise, found their rooms to be quiet.

A couple of reviewers complained of room odours. They were disturbed by the smell of curry from cooking, as well as an unidentified "chemical smell" in one room.
