Overview

The Sawridge Inn - Edmonton South is located on Gateway Boulevard in Edmonton, Alberta. This hotel is located a 2 minute drive from the nearest Highway 14 interchange.

All 136 units at this hotel include free wireless Internet, free local calls, free in-room coffee and tea, irons and ironing boards, hair dryers, desks and ergonomic chairs, flat screen televisions, and pay-per-view movies. Suites at this property also include separate bedrooms and living spaces, and telephones with hands-free speaker capabilities. Select suites also include jacuzzi tubs. Free parking is available on site at this hotel. Pets are allowed at this hotel for an extra charge of $10 per pet, per night.

Many guests described the front desk agents as friendly, efficient, and accommodating. One guest said that the staff "went out of their way to make us feel welcome", while another reviewer described the front desk agents as "amazing".

The Bad

Several guests were disturbed in their rooms by noise from nearby train tracks, while a few other reviewers found noise from neighbouring rooms to be disruptive. A couple of guests recommended requesting rooms at the front of the hotel to avoid the noise from the train tracks.

A few guests thought that the fitness centre was not well-maintained and that it was equipped with old machines. One guest described the fitness facility as being in "bad shape".

While many guests complimented the food quality at the on-site restaurant, a few reviewers were disappointed by the slow service they received. A couple of guests mentioned waiting 20 - 30 minutes for a menu or a cup of coffee. A couple of other reviewers thought that the menu was expensive.
