About the hotel: This modern hotel is located at the junction of Hwy 2 and the Yellowhead Hwy and is a 14-minute drive from Edmonton’s city centre.

The 4-storey hotel has 127 smoke-free rooms with elevator access.

All rooms include free Wi-Fi, free local calls, a flat screen TV with cable and pay-per-view movies, a coffeemaker, a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, dishware (no sink), a table or desk, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer, and climate control.

Some rooms include a sofabed, a separate bedroom, 2 TVs, a living room, an electric fireplace, a kitchenette (stove top), a dining table, and a jetted tub. Accessible rooms are available.

Rooms are furnished with 1 or 2 queen beds or 1 king bed.

Free outdoor parking with winter plug-ins is available on site for cars and oversize vehicles.

The Good
Guests typically enjoyed their stay.

Rooms were clean and spacious with comfy beds, good TV channels and good bathroom lighting.

Location was convenient to the highway, downtown, shopping and restaurants by car.

Staff were courteous and accommodating.

Guests enjoyed the food at the restaurant and felt it was reasonably priced.

Guests also liked: very clean gym and steam room, wonderfully-scented free toiletries, winter plug-in for cars, ample parking, and enjoyable country music from the bar.

The Bad
There was some negative feedback.

Recent room complaints were: small bathroom counter, pillows too big and tiny shower head with low pressure.

Noise transferred from: traffic from highway, trains, music from bar and Safeway’s trucks (a distribution centre near to hotel’s parking lot).

Other comments found were: no room service available from the restaurant, free Wi-Fi is for one device only, and a long wait for check-in.
