Overview

This hotel is situated within the city centre of Canmore and is well located for guests who prefer to explore the Canmore area on foot. Boutique shops, a yoga studio, restaurants and nightlife venues are all within a 6-minute walk.

This property is 100% smoke free and all 26 rooms include free Wi-Fi, free local calls, a coffeemaker and cable TV. Standard rooms are furnished with one or two queen beds. Ground-floor standard rooms have two beds. Creekside rooms also have two beds and feature a balcony and a mini-fridge.

Suites provide more spacious accommodations and are equipped with two queen beds, a futon, two balconies, mountain views, a living room and a kitchenette.

Not all rooms are air conditioned, but the hotel does provide fans. Free parking is available on site and pets are permitted in select rooms for an additional fee of $15 per pet, per night. This hotel has three floors and no elevator.

The on-site Drake Pub serves lunch and dinner on weekdays and brunch from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The pub also features live entertainment, and guests of the hotel receive a 10% discount off of meals. Guests can also access the take-out menu at a 10% discount. This hotel does not offer any on-site business or recreational facilities, but the pub has a private function/meeting room available for booking.

Elevation Place, a recreational facility with a rock climbing wall, aquatics centre, child care services and an art gallery, is a 3-minute walk away, while the Canmore Recreational Centre, which features two arenas, a pool, a hot tub and a steam room, is a 17-minute walk away. The Canmore Golf and Curling Club is 20 minutes away on foot.

Several guests complained that their rooms appeared dated, rundown and unattractive, while a few reviewers found their in-room climate control units to be ineffective.
