The Good
The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with much praise going to the hotel's rooms, location and staff.
The hotel's rooms were praised by numerous reviewers. They were described as spacious, well equipped, modern and quiet, with breathtaking mountain views and comfortable beds and pillows.
Many lodgers enjoyed the hotel's location, describing it as beautiful and central, as well as close to restaurants, hiking, skiing, shopping and Banff. One patron noted, "Location is good being a few moments from centre of Canmore - which is a great spot for Rockies touring and trails".
Several guests were pleased with the level of customer service they received during their stay. They characterized the staff as accommodating, helpful, efficient and friendly. Some travellers complained about the hotel's staff, however (see below).
The Bad
While the majority of reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were some common complaints about the lack of daily housekeeping, noise transfer and the staff.
Some guests complained about the lack of daily housekeeping at the hotel. They reported going a few days without service, and mentioned having to ask the staff to come and clean their rooms. One patron remarked, "We found the service was poor, on the third day we had to ask twice in the afternoon to get someone to come and clean as we had not yet had anyone come since our arrival. They said it had been too busy!".
A few lodgers complained of noise transfer during their stay. They reported traffic noise, noise from guests in overhead rooms and noise in rooms located near the parking garage.
Although several guests were pleased with the level of customer service they received, some lodgers criticized the staff. They described them as inattentive, poorly trained and "less than helpful".
