Overview
Located in downtown Canmore and about a 2-minute drive from the nearest Trans-Canada Highway on-ramp, Fire Mountain Lodge is geared towards road travellers who prefer a centrally located hotel with fully equipped condos and easy highway access.
more Each of this non-smoking hotel's two- and three-bedroom suites offers air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a patio or balcony with a BBQ, a fully equipped kitchen (with cooking utensils and a dishwasher), a coffeemaker, a living room with a sofabed, a dining area, a fireplace, a washer and dryer, a hair dryer, a desk and a DVD/CD player.
The hotel also offers a hot tub, a fitness room, ski storage and free parking. Pets (under 40 lbs) are permitted for an additional $20 per pet, per day and the hotel is not wheelchair accessible.

The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with much praise going to the hotel's rooms, location and rates.
Many guests praised their lodgings at the hotel. The described their accommodations as clean, well equipped, spacious, beautifully decorated and quiet, with functional layouts, amazing mountain views and comfortable beds. A few patrons complained about aspects of their rooms, however (see below).
The hotel's location was enjoyed by numerous reviewers, who found it close to downtown, shopping, bars, restaurants, highway access, grocery stores and Banff.
Several lodgers were pleased with the hotel's rates. They were described as reasonable, affordable and great.
The Bad

Some lodgers were disappointed that check-in and check-out were at a different location (guests reported it being about two blocks away).
