Overview
About the hotel: This newly renovated hotel is located a 5-minute drive or a 20-minute walk from downtown Canmore. It’s well loved by guests for its large and beautiful suites, impressive views of the Three Sister Mountains and for providing impeccable customer service.

The 4-storey hotel has 71 smoke-free and pet-free rooms with elevator access.

About the rooms: All guest rooms are Studio or 1- or 2-bedroom suites that include a sofabed, a coffeemaker, a mini-kitchen (mini-fridge, microwave, sink) or full kitchen, a living area or room, a dining table, a soaker tub, a patio or balcony with Napoleon BBQ grill, and climate control.

All guest rooms include free Wi-Fi, free local calls, free North America phone calls (20 minutes), a 48” LED flat screen Smart TV with Blue Tooth and Netflix (guests must have their own Netflix account), a Blue Ray DVD player, a gas fireplace, a laptop safe, MP3 stereo, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer, and bathrobes.

Some guest rooms include a second bathroom, 2 or more TVs, a washer and dryer and mountain views.

Rooms are furnished with 1 queen bed or 1 king bed.

Parking: Free outdoor and heated underground parking (clearance is 6’7”) is on site. Self-serve car washing is available to guests.

Restaurant on site: Indochine Vietnamese Fusion Cuisine is open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday.

Off-site restaurants: The Wandering Elk is a 5-minute walk. The Market Bistro and Iron Goat Pub & Grill are a 4-minute drive and Sage Bistro, Rustica Steakhouse and Trough Dining Co. are 6 minutes by car.

Hotel amenities include 2 outdoor hot tubs, a fitness centre, a business centre, library with Blu Ray, DVD and games, a guest laundry, a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, ski/bike storage, ice/vending machines, an ATM and meeting rooms.

What’s nearby? Canadian Rockies Rafting and Adventure Centre, where many outdoor activities can be booked year-round, is a 3-minute drive. Canmore Golf & Curling Club is 7 minutes’ drive. Canmore Nordic Centre is 11 minutes by car (cross-country skiing trails in the winter and mountain biking and hiking trails in the summer).

Area attractions: Banff National Park is a 24-minute drive. Banff Upper Hot Springs is a 30-minute drive. Mount Norquay is 28 minutes and Sunshine Village Ski & Snowboard Resort is 34 minutes by car. Lake Louise Ski Resort is a 57-minute drive.

The Good
Guests really enjoyed their stay, with a well-cared-for facility and exceptional staff making the difference.

Guests loved their rooms. They were very clean, spacious and well-appointed with very comfy beds, fully-stocked kitchens (with sharp knives), large bathrooms, large soaker tubs, spectacular mountain views, and decks with high-end BBQ’s.

Guests found the location convenient to downtown, restaurants, groceries, the highway and local skiing.

Staff were highly praised and made the stay for many guests.

Guests often thought the hotel provided good value.

Guests enjoyed the 2 outdoor hot tubs.

Guests also liked: heated underground parking with lots of luggage carts and elevator access to bring up luggage, pressure washer for cars in the underground parking lot, large balconies, recent DVD movies on loan and huge showers.

The Bad
There was very little negative feedback.

Recent room complaints were: bed and couch were not super comfortable.

Noise was mentioned from: the road and guests in the hallway.

Other comments found were: no pool on site, one of the hot tubs was a little small and parking was a little tight in the underground facility.
