Overview

Located about a 4-minute drive from Calgary's city centre and a 6-minute drive from the nearest Highway 8 on-ramp, Best Western Calgary Centre Inn is geared towards travellers who prefer a centrally located hotel with a free breakfast, an indoor pool and easy highway access.

Each of the hotel's air-conditioned guest rooms and suites comes equipped with free Wi-Fi and wired Internet (cables available in the room), a coffeemaker, a mini-fridge, a desk, an iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. King suites with a jetted tub, a microwave and a sitting area and sofabed are also available.

This hotel offers smoking and non-smoking rooms, as well as wheelchair-accessible rooms. Pets are not permitted.

Hotel amenities include an indoor pool and kiddie pool, a hot tub, a fitness centre, a 24-hour business centre (with free wired Internet), guest laundry, free parking and a free breakfast buffet with hot and cold items. The breakfast is served weekday mornings from 6 am to 10 am, and until 11 am on weekends. This hotel features elevator service.

The Good

Numerous guests praised the hotel's staff, characterizing them as friendly, helpful, efficient and professional. One patron noted that the staff were quite knowledgeable about the area, and able to give great directions and advice.

The hotel's location was convenient for many lodgers. They described it as easily accessible and close to the Repsol Sport Centre, downtown Calgary, highway access, restaurants, shopping and public transit. A few guests did mention there was a limited selection of restaurants within walking distance, however.

Several travellers were pleased with their accommodations at the hotel. They found their rooms to be clean, quiet, spacious and well equipped, with comfortable beds. A few reviewers had complaints about their lodgings, however (see below).
