Located in Banff National Park and about a 20-minute drive from the Trans-Canada Highway, Sunshine Mountain Lodge Banff is geared towards travellers who prefer a ski-in, ski-out hotel with on-site dining and meeting/banquet facilities.

The Good
The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with much praise going to the hotel's staff, rooms and food.
The hotel's staff were the source of numerous compliments by reviewers, who characterized them as professional, efficient, helpful and accommodating. One patron noted, "The friendly, helpful staff made my stay pleasant and worry-free. I lost my phone and they tracked it down and had it sent up from the base village. They don't normally do laundry, but I was in a bind and they happily helped me out. I can't say enough good things about the staff".
Many lodgers enjoyed their accommodations at the hotel. They found their rooms to be clean, functional and quiet, with great mountain views and comfortable beds and pillows. A few guests had complaints about their lodgings, however (see below).
