Overview
This hotel is located near the edge of Banff about a 10-minute walk from downtown. It is decorated in a mountain-lodge theme and features a hot pool which replicates the Cave & Basin hot springs.
The smoke-free and pet-free hotel has 116 rooms over 4 floors. Not all rooms are accessed by the elevator as a few are accessed by exterior stairways.
All rooms include free Wi-Fi, free local calls, a flat-screen TV with cable, a coffeemaker, a tea kettle, a safe, an iron and ironing board, and a hair dryer but no air conditioning.
Some rooms include a sofabed, 1 or 2 separate bedrooms, an air-conditioned living room, a gas fireplace, a mini-kitchen (mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, sink), a dining table, and a balcony.
Rooms are furnished with 2 double beds, 1 queen or 1 king bed.
Free underground heated parking with a clearance of 6'3" is available on site.
A free continental breakfast with waffle station and hard boiled eggs is available from 7 am to 11 am daily.
Restaurant on site: Chili's Grill and Bar serves lunch and dinner on site. Room service is available during restaurant hours.

The Good
Guests were typically quite pleased with their stay.
more Guests liked the location. It was an easy walk or Roam bus ride to town and quiet in the evenings with no downtown activity.
The staff did a good job. Guests found them pleasant, accommodating and helpful.
Guests often enjoyed their rooms. They were usually well cleaned and well maintained.
Guests often appreciated the free parking along with Roam bus passes that allowed them to leave the car behind and explore the town and surrounding area without having to pay extra for parking.
The free breakfast added value and guests were often pleased with the selection.
Some enjoyed the pub and meals on site at Chili's.
The hotel's Cave and Basin Hotpool — nicknamed The Grotto — was also highly appreciated by the hotel guests who called it exceptional as well as clean. Guests said it provided them with a relaxing and fun experience and was one of the best parts of the hotel.
The Bad
There were guests who provided some negative feedback.
more Room complaints voiced recently were: rooms were small and cramped with no place for the suitcases, there was a dozen stairs to the bedroom, there was no mini-fridge, and it was hot without air conditioning.
Some guests wished for hot eggs, hot breakfast meat and more fresh fruit at the free breakfast.
The parkade was small. Some found parking limited during their stay and had to park a few blocks away.
The hot pool was not supervised well. Guests complained of too many rowdy children crowding it and many intoxicated guests drinking in the pool during their stay.
Noise from other guests carried into the rooms from the outside decks and courtyard and from adjoining rooms and hallways.
Some thought that the hotel was overpriced for what it provided.
