Overview
Spruce Grove Inn is located about a 15-minute walk from the shops and restaurants of downtown Banff and is in the lower price range for Banff hotels. It caters to those looking for a budget-friendly option while visiting the resort town of Banff.

Built in 2003 and fully air conditioned, this 100% smoke-free and pet-free hotel has 120 guest rooms and suites, with elevator access to its 3 levels. It is owned and operated by the Voyageur Inn, located next door, and during the non-busy seasons, the Voyageur Inn handles the front desk and housekeeping responsibilities for both hotels. The Voyageur Inn also shares its hotel amenities (restaurant, lounge, pool, sauna and hot tub) with the guests of the Spruce Grove Inn.

Basic room amenities include free Wi-Fi and wired internet, a coffeemaker, a hairdryer, cable TV, and a seating area. Irons, ironing boards, kettles, and mini-fridges are available upon request. Suites have added amenities such as a wet bar, a fridge, a microwave, a gas fireplace, an additional TV, and a sofabed. Some rooms have balconies.

Other hotel amenities include free underground secure parking, secure indoor ski and snowboard storage, an on-site liquor store, an ATM, fax and copy services, and a coin-operated computer that costs $2.00 for 15 minutes.

Spruce Grove Inn is about a 3-minute drive (or 21-minute walk) from the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies and a 10-minute drive from Banff Upper Hot Springs and the Banff Gondola Mountaintop Experience. Shopping and dining can be found along Banff Avenue about a 15-minute walk from the hotel. The ski shuttle to the area's major ski resorts can be accessed at the Banff Inn about a 1-minute walk away (confirmed with 2012-2013 schedule). (All travel time estimates: Google Maps)

Confirmed with a front desk agent on August 28, 2012: only the Spruce Grove Inn is air conditioned and has an elevator (not the Voyageur Inn), Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, the hotel is pet-free and the cost of the coin-operated computer is $2.00 for 15 minutes.
