Tips For Staying Near Women's College Hospital

Located on a quiet side street in downtown Toronto, Women's College Hospital is an independent hospital focusing on providing care specifically to women and their families with special departments for prenatal and postnatal care, as well as sexual health and assault care.

Their new facility, located next door to the old building, has recently opened (in May 2013) and focuses on providing care that keeps people out of hospitals.

They provide services out of five different locations. Aside from the main hospital building, they also operate a family clinic, foot clinic and lab next door at 77 Grenville St, the Bay Centre for Birth Control and the Women's College Research Institute at 790 Bay Street, and the Brief Psychotherapy Centre for Women at 2 Carlton Street.

Information for patients and visitors is easily accessed on their website.
Parking is available beneath the new building for $3 per half hour with no daily maximum, or in a number of other parking lots starting at $4 for every half hour. More parking information and prices can be found on their website.
Getting Around
Women's College Hospital is a 1-minute walk from College Street and streetcars, or a 5-minute walk from College Station and University Avenue.

Most of the below-listed hotels are reachable in under a 15-minute walk, and are all considered safe during the daytime. As with any large city, it is recommended that those walking around at night do so with caution.

The Gardiner Expressway for east-west traffic, and the Don Valley Parkway (DVP) for north-south traffic, are both an approximate 10-minute drive away.
While the only restaurant on site is a Tim Hortons in the new building's lobby, other coffee shops and restaurants can be found within a 5-minute walk of the hospital.
For guests' convenience, most of the below-listed hotels (with the exception of the Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre and Windsor Arms) offer a hospital rate for out-of-town guests visiting Women's College Hospital. A letter of appointment is required to receive the rate, which may be based on availability of the rooms included in the rate. To inquire about a hospital rate, guests should contact the hotel directly.

If it's important for you to save on costs, be sure to compare the hospital rate from the hotel, with rates available online, as it is entirely possible that our website's rate may be significantly cheaper.
