There are a number of events and exhibits that rotate throughout the year, as well as year-round galleries covering various interests such as health, the environment, robotics and space.

There are two theatres, an IMAX theatre and the Margaret Zeidler Star Theatre planetarium with various programming, as well as an observatory, radio station and computer lab. Many of these are included with general admission, with the exception of the IMAX theatre and some of the rotating events.

The science centre also organizes special events throughout the year, including adults-only nights. For details on upcoming events and exhibits, visit their website.

Admission rates are $27.95 per adult (18+), $23.95 per senior (65+) or youth (13-17) with valid photo I.D. and $19.95 for children aged 3 to 12. Combo packages can be added to include an IMAX movie, and group discounts are available by contacting the science centre directly. Feature exhibitions are generally extra, but more information on admission prices can be found on their website.

The programs throughout the building are designed to complement the Alberta curriculum so that students' learning while at the science centre can be applied to classroom projects or activities.
