Tips For Staying Near Stollery Children's Hospital

Location
The Stollery Children's Hospital is located within the University of Alberta Hospital in South Central Edmonton. 

It is run by the Alberta Health Sciences Network, and specializes in pediatric services. It is also Western Canada's referral centre for pediatric organ transplant and cardiac surgery.

It is located within the Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre, along with the University of Alberta Hospital (UAH) and the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute.

Getting Around
The hospital and all of the below-mentioned hotels are well served by the Edmonton Transit System (ETS), whether by bus or light trail transit (LRT). 

For the hospital complex, the Health Sciences Centre Station serves LRT route #501, Clareview - Century Park. Single adult cash fares are $3.25 per ride, and an unlimited-use day pass can be purchased for one adult and up to four children under 12 for $9.50. Route maps and schedules can be found on their website.

The Yellowhead Trail Highway 16 can be reached in a 12-minute drive, while the Queen Elizabeth II Highway is 16 minutes away by car. The Edmonton International Airport (YEG) is an approximate 30-minute drive away.

The Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre (WCM) building and hospital complex can seem overwhelming to navigate, so an introductory glance and map of the clinics is provided on the Alberta Health Services website.

Multiple 24-hour metered parking lots are available near the hospital, and underground lots are open during daytime hours, from 6 am to 9 pm, with pay-on-exit rates available. The underground lots are a good option if the duration of your visit to the hospital is unknown.
