Location
The Quebec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) is the primary air passenger hub serving Quebec City and the surrounding area. It is located about 15km-20km driving distance west of Quebec City (or about a 20-25 minute drive).
The immediate landscape surrounding the airport is a combination of suburban and semi-rural areas. As a result, and as is fairly standard with large airport hubs, the surrounding area isn't very accessible on foot and doesn't offer much in the way of entertainment.

Taxi
For those arriving to Quebec City via the airport, the best way to get from the airport to the downtown area (or vice versa) is probably taxi. Taxi fares in either direction, to or from the Quebec City airport and downtown Quebec City, are a flat rate $34.25. For those those traveling into the areas immediately surrounding the area, for example to access local hotel or dining options, the flat rate is $15.00. For all other destinations, taxi fares are metered.
