Location

Getting Around
With over 300 buildings, the campus itself is 79 acres and it takes approximately 20 minutes to walk from north to south. Multiple interactive maps are available on the website to orient oneself prior to visiting and a virtual tour of the campus is also available.

Prospective students and their parents are welcome to visit for a campus tour, and can do so by stopping in at the Welcome Centre on McTavish Street. More information on tours is available on their website. The school has also created an Around McGill in 80 seconds video for informational purposes and to get an introductory overview of the school.

Downtown Montreal is a mere 6-minute drive, or 26-minute walk from the campus, and the Quartier des Spectacles is a 5-minute walk away. The Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) is an approximate 1-hour drive from the school.

While many of the below-mentioned hotels are within a 10-minute walk of the school, public transit is available, operated by the Société de Transport de Montréal (STM). Single-ride, adult fare is $3, but an unlimited-use evening pass can be purchased for $5 (6 pm to 5 am) or an unlimited-use day (24-hour) pass can be purchased for $10. Staying the weekend? Consider an unlimited-use weekend pass, which costs $13, but is valid from 6 pm Friday to 5 am on Monday.
