Tips For Staying Near Edmonton Airport
Location
Edmonton International Airport (YEG) is 30.2 km southwest of downtown Edmonton, near the city of Leduc and about a 33-minute drive from downtown, depending on traffic.
Getting Around: Public Transit
Guests staying in downtown hotels can take the 747 bus from downtown to the airport. It's $5 (cash only and exact change required), each way and it's direct. It can be caught at Century Park Transit Centre. Buses run each day from 4:10 am to just past midnight, and offer free Wi-Fi. More information is available from Edmonton Transit on their website.
Getting Around
Another option is available for guests needing transportation to or from the airport. Skyshuttle Airport Service offers van service from various hotels in the city and other pick-up points as well as from the airport.
From the airport the skyshuttle departs every 60 minutes up until 6:30 pm or 1:30 am depending on the area of the city.
Adult single fares are $18 ($30 for round trip), children 4-12 are $10 ($17 for round trip) and children under 4 ride free. (This is a good option for guests travelling with bikes as bikes are not allowed on the 747 bus.)
Parking
Guests who need to park their vehicles, for less than 30 days, while they fly out of YEG have several options on site at the airport.
