The Rodd Royalty would be my our first choice, if staying in Charlottetown, for being well-reviewed online. Guests were well pleased with this hotel's friendly and helpful staff, excellent free hot breakfast, great pool and waterslide. It's a 4 star hotel with a 3 star price when compared to other hotels in the area. It's the closest hotel to the airport, with only a 6-minute drive, and although there is no airport shuttle offered (by any of the hotels in the area), Rodd offers not only a free breakfast, but free Wi-Fi and free parking.

Charlottetown Airport (YYG) is located in the town of Charlottetown, PEI,  and is a 10-minute drive from the downtown core. The entrance of the airport sits just off of Highway 15, or Brackley Point Road. Getting Around: Driving
Upon exiting the airport, you will find yourself on Brackley Point Road, one block north of the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway #1), which is the main east-west throughway on the Island.

Brackley Point Road continues south to St. Peter’s Road, which will lead into downtown Charlottetown, and north to the Gulf of St. Lawrence and Prince Edward Island National Park.


Car rentals are available through Avis, Budget, Hertz and National. Car rental rates will vary, however, an estimate for a standard one-day rental from the airport will cost around $52 to $65.

Yellow Cab PEI is the taxi service for the entire island. A flat rate of $12 is charged for all trips inside the city. Additional riders are charged at $3.50 each, with all trips capped at $22.

You can also take Yellow Cab PEI to nearby Cornwall, for a minimum of $16 and a maximum of $22, and Stratford, for a minimum fee of $17.50 and a maximum of $25.

All other fares are charged at $1.45 per kilometer.

Maritime Luxury Limousine and Sedan Services offers flat-rate service to the following locations: Charlottetown ($26), Cornwall ($35), Stratford ($30) and Summerside ($105).

Getting Around: Public Transit
Charlottetown has several bus routes and Route 30/T3 Airport and Winsloe Collector runs from several pick-up points throughout the town to the airport and back. This route runs Monday to Friday from 7:15 am to 5:45 pm and runs approximately every half hour. 

Several of the listed hotels are closest to the Route 30 bus stop located at the Charlottetown Mall. The pick-up spot for this route is located to the left of the front entrance of the mall.

The restaurant offers a call-ahead service to order fresh lobster, which will be packed and ready for you to take on your flight. Budley's hours of operation are between 4:30 am and 8 pm daily.
