There are not a lot of hotels near to Acadia University and we picked those hotels that produced happy guests on a consistent basis. We avoided those hotels that had mixed reviews. We think that these three are sure-fire winners!

This late 19th century hotel was originally a ship captain's mansion
According to plenty of former guests, the Blomidon Inn is the place to stay in Wolfville. Originally a Scottish ship captain's mansion, it's a step back in time, with its Victorian-style decor and gardens with walking paths and ponds. It's the closest hotel to the university, within a 20-minute walk or a 3-minute drive, and located only a 10-minute walk from downtown Wolfville. There are vineyards and botanical gardens to visit in the area as well.

There are wonderful chef-made meals to enjoy, with homemade bread and jams for breakfast (included in the rate), lunch, afternoon tea and dinner all available on site at their licensed restaurant. Amenities are modern with comfortable beds and quality linens and some suites have fireplaces and balconies which overlook the gardens. (I'm packing my bags right now!) Parking and Wi-Fi are included.

The popular Best Western Aurora Inn is about a half an hour's drive from the university and located in Kingston, which could make for a nice drive into Wolfville.

Getting Around: Driving
The school campus is considered the town centre of Wolfville, with a number of attractions and facilities nearby. The actual town strip is a mere 2-minute drive or 11-minute walk from the school. However, this spread-out town in rural Nova Scotia is best suited to drivers.

The nearest airport, Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ), is a 1-hour drive from the school, while downtown Halifax is also an approximate 1-hour drive.

A public bus runs from Greenwood to Wolfville, and from Wolfville to Brooklyn from 7 am to approximately 9 pm. Cash fares are $3.50 and more information and maps can be found on the Kings Transit website.

There are a number of parking options on campus, whether you purchase a semester or year-long parking pass or pay per park at one of numerous meters. 

Potential students need not pay for parking, and will receive a complimentary parking pass when they go for a campus tour.
